Tropical Storms – Roundup of Tropical Storms:

In the Atlantic Ocean: Tropical Storm Franklin is located about 75 mi…125 km S of Tuxpan Mexico and about 105 mi…165 km WNW of Veracruz Mexico with maximum sustained winds…70 mph…110 km/h. Present movement…W or 260 degrees at 15 mph…24 km/h.

Franklin is expected to produce total rainfall accumulations of 4 to 8 inches with isolated maximum of 15 inches possible across the Mexican states of northern Veracruz, Puebla, tlaxacala, eastern guanajuato, Hidalgo, queretaro and eastern San Luis Potosi in eastern Mexico. These rains are capable of producing life-threatening flash floods and mudslides.


England – A month’s worth of rain was set to fall on the UK on Wednesday as severe downpours brought flooding to large parts of the country. Flash flooding hit towns and villages in the East Riding of Yorkshire and north-east Lincolnshire. There was a metre (3ft) of standing water in parts of Withernsea, and further flooding in the Grimsby and Immingham areas.

Thailand – Flooding persisted in nine provinces on Wednesday, mostly in the Northeast, with more than 570,000 families affected by the floods that have ravaged much of the country over the last month. A total of 4,129 houses, 2,055 roads, 14,097 fish ponds, and over 3 million rai of agricultural land have been damaged.
